Underprivileged children from disadvantaged families need our help. Raised in poverty, these children get exposed to the harshest realities of life. Underprivileged children are often denied their right to emotional, physical and social development. among other things. Poverty is without a doubt one of the major causes of this plight. A lack of education is the second culprit. At present, more than 20% of our population lives below the poverty line. They don’t earn enough to afford the basic necessities of life. Before heading forward, we need to understand the two different types of poverty. Absolute and relative. Absolute poverty refers to the financially poor. In other words, people who are unable to meet their basic needs of food, shelter and clothing. Whereas relative poverty refers to the differences in income between individuals. In many countries, when we talk about poverty, we’re talking about absolute poverty.

diseases

inferior living conditions

inadequate sanitation
